A farmer of just over 11 acres and landlord of the Saracen's Head in 1857. Registrar of births & deaths and a bankrupt. Married Hannah Moult 19 September 1826 when he was living in Longford. Born in Wells-next-the-Sea, Norfolk. At the time of the 1858 Sale he was farming 59½ acres of Ferrers' land.Mugged on his way to Ashbourne 29th Jan 1852.
