FORMER SHIRLEY VICAR’S WILL

The Rev. Charles Francis Powys M.A. of 3 Greenhill Terrace, Weymouth, formerly of Montacute Vicarage, Ilminster, Somerset and vicar of Shirley, Derby, 1872–9 who died on August 5th, last aged 80 years, left gross estate of the value of £29,449 6s. 3d., with net personality £29,432 7s. 8d. Testator left to his wife £200, his household and personal effects and consumable stores, and the proceeds of a life policy for £2,000; £150 each to his to his executors, Mr. Littleton Charles Powys and Mr. C. E. Mailliet; all his other property to his wife for life, with the remainder to his children or their issue, in equal shares.
