The 1851 census shows Hannah as head at Peat Hays with Richard (grandson), George (son), Hannah Ann (granddaughter) and a lodger Elizabeth Yeomans.
In 1861 he was living at Peat Hays with his parents working as a labourer.
The 1881 census shows him widowed and living with his father at Peat Hays.
He died aged 43.
