Gilman, James

Son of Thomas Gilman, farmer and Anne Gilman (née Fearn) who married 27 Jan 1885. He had three siblings: Edith (b. 1895), Elizabeth (b. 1890) and George (b. 1893).He married Elsie May Goodall at Shirley, 5 Feb 1912.

From 1901 he was living on Derby Lane and was employed as a waggoner in 1911. The 1939 Register describes him as a dairy farmer at Derby Lane Farm.
On the 1921 census he and Elsi May were living with his father.
