Notes on the 1851 Census

The "Description of Enumeration District" states:

Shirley Parish Part of Namely Shirley Township
Longford Parish Part of Viz Hollington Township

The Whole of the Township of Shirley including Shirley Brook. Shirley Mill.
Shirley Park and the whole of Shirley Village

Also Hollington township Including Rodsley. Hollington Grove. and the whole of Hollington Village.

Because it takes in more than the parish, the following have been excluded:

Page 3. Old Park which is in Rodsley.
