SHIRLEY—On Sunday, July 21st, at the parish Church of Shirley, in this county, a special collection, was made on behalf of the Church Missionary Society, to supply the serious deficiency in the funds of last year, and the pressing demands arising from the increased exertions of the Society. The sum of £3 8s 9½d was collected. We understand rhat a sermon will be preached on Sunday morning next, at Brailsford, by the rector, on behalf of the same Society.
