A poultry farmer at Rhode Hurst. Rough Lane with about 800 head of breeding hens, laying pullets, stock cocks, and young stock. Was found dead in his yard.He married Lydia Rains at Kirk Ireton in 1903. The 1911 census has him farming at Kirk Ireton with four children and two servants.
