Funeral of Earl Ferrers
The funeral service of Earl Ferrers was held in the private chapel adjoining the hall at Staunton Harold, Leicestershire, yesterday, followed by internment in the family vault at Shirley, Derbyshire.
    Members of the Ferrers and Ivanhoe Lodges of Freemason formed a guard of honour and the coffin, draped in the family pall, was preceded into the church by the coronet carried on a purple cushion. The service was conducted by the Rev. R. Leader, vicar of Breedon-on-the-Hill, and the Rev. J. M. Robson, vicar of Shirley and rector of Brailsford, who also represented the Bishop of Derby. Mr. G. H. Heath Gracie organist of Derby Cathedral played the organ.
    Family mourners included Countess Ferrers (widow), Viscount and Viscountess Tamworth (son and daughter-in-law), Lady Elizabeth Shirley (daughter), the Rev. J. M. and Lady Penelope Robson (son-in-law and daughter), the Hon. Andrew and Mrs. Shirley (brother and sister-in-law), Capt. and Mrs. John Shirley (cousins).
