It is thought that Mr. Warner was trying to re-secure the bull, which had worked its halter loose after being transferred from one stall to another and that Mr. Warner was caught by the horns when the bull moved its head.
Mr. Warner's employer, Mr. Tom Lawton, heard shouts and found Mr. Warner lying on the ground with the bull standing beside him. It was quite docile and was led away.
Mr. Warner who has abrasions and a back injury, was stated today to be "progressing favourably."
