SHIRLEY
On Friday last an invitation dance was given in the school. A large company was expected, but unfortunately the weather was unfavourable, and a smaller number assembled. Still in no other way did the weather interfere, for the spirits of the party were of the gayest, and the dancers enjoyed themselves to the full. The music was provided by Miss Milton and Mr. Jordan, while Mrs. Jordan managed the refreshments, which were provided by Mr. D. Rushton, of Shirley.
