CONTRADICTION
TO THE EDITOR OF THE DERBYSHIRE ADVERTISER.
Sir,— In your issue last week you intimated the medical officer and sanitary inspector had reported two cases of scarlet fever (one at Rodsley and another at Shirley) as being traceable to the outbreak at my house. I beg to contradict that statement, as to my knowledge the case at Rodsley was in existence some time before mine was. I also wish to say that my children were not exposed in any way, none of them leaving the house at all. Also medical assistance was sought within 12 hours of the first appearance of the sickness.
    Yours truly,
        JOHN SMITH
Wyaston Common, Ashbourn.
