SHIRLEY
On the 13th inst., the members of the church choir were invited to spend the evening at the vicarage. The vicar and Mrs. Linton gave their guests a cordial welcome, and, assisted by Mr. W. K. Shirley, did all in their power to promote the enjoyment of all. An excellent repast was served in the dining room, and was fully appreciated. After supper songs were sung and games were heartily entered into, all present seeming to enjoy themselves thoroughly. About half-past ten light refreshments were handed round, and the party dispersed much gratified with such a pleasant evening's entertainment.
