ASHBOURNE RURAL DISTRICT COUNCIL.
The bill for the erection of posts at the bridge against Shirley Mill had been sent in and the surveyor disputed it, and suggested that the council refuse to pay it, as he considered it to be extortionate. The amount was £4 5s. 6d., and he considered this was too much.— Messrs. F. Jackson, T. Goodall, and J. Massey were elected to deal with the question.
