SHIRLEY
A meeting of the Church Missionary Society was held in the National School, on Feb. 7th. A most interesting address was given by the Rev. W. S Penley, vicar of Scropton, in which he most vividly described the work of Mr. Lofthouse, the missionary at work at Fort Churchhill in Canada. The address was most instructive, and well appreciated by the audience. A large number of views illustrating the address were shown with the magic lantern.
