SHIRLEY
On Saturday afternoon, June 20, a stack of hay, the property of Eli Bainbrigge, butcher, was consumed by fire through some children playing with matches. The stack was insured in the Yorkshire Fire Insurance Company's office. The agent for Ashbourne and surrounding neighbourhood is Mr. Walter Holyoak, auctioneer. The damage was assessed by Mr. Holyoak, valuer, and a cheque was forwarded from the company, on July 1st, for the amount assessed.
