SHIRLEY
GUN ACCIDENT.— On Friday last, Mr John Burne, of Sapperton, brother to Mr. Burne, of Shirley, went out shooting, and whilst aiming at a wood pigeon the gun burst, shattering all the bones of one of his hands. It was found necessary to amputate the thumb, but it is hoped the rest part of the hand may be saved, as it is in a favourable condition.
