On Saturday morning last the first stone of a new church to be built at Shirley, in this county, by Mr.Gadsby, of Colerton, and Mr. J. E. Cartwright,of Castle Donington, was laid by Robert Dale Esq. in the absence of the Rev. Walter Augustus Shirley, the vicar.
