SHIRLEY
An agitation that has been going on for some time has at last been successful, and a new organ (or rather an old organ enlarged), has been erected in the parish church. The present instrument is a fine two manual organ of 14 stops, and has been built by messrs. Alfred Noble and Co. organ builders of Derby, who are to be congratulated on the expeditious and excellent way in which they have done the work. The organ is to opened May 16th. The preacher will be the rev. H. E. Morris, of Ashbourne, and the organist Mr. H. Macbeth Locke, of Manchester, who will also give a short recital after the service.
