WEDDING AT SHIRLEY.
Chadwick — Kent.

The marriage was solemnised at St. Michael’s. Shirley, the 6th inst, Miss Frances Mabel Chadwick, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. T. Chadwick. Lodge. Shirley, and Mr. Charles Kent, youngest son of the late Mr. J. and Mrs. Kent, The Mount, Shirley. Owing to recent bereavement in the bridegroom’s family, the death his father, the ceremony was of quiet character. The Rev. R. E Coates (vicar) was the officiating clergyman, and the bride was given away her father. She wore navy blue costume, with white collar and cuffs, and hat to match, and carried a sheaf of arum lilies. Miss Banton (cousin) attended her as maid, who also wore navy blue costume, and her bouquet was composed of daffodils. Mr. J. Brown. Shirley Mill, made an efficient best man and after the ceremony a quiet reception was held at the bride’s home. Both bride and bridegroom were the recipients numerous and costly presents.
