Born in Boulton, Derby to Francis and Myra. During WW I she worked at home, part time, for the Red Cross doing knitting, needlework and 'hospital supplies'.Sued Fred H Atkins of Shirley Common for libel and E W Bourne for breach of promise in 1919.
Married Harold Fitchett at Brailsford in 1954.
