TO MR. WILLIAM DAKIN, FARMER, SHIRLEY PARK, DERBY.
I, the undersigned, SAMUEL NORMANSHAW, of Park Lane, Shirley, farmer, having made a Slanderous Accusation against you on the 13th inst., do hereby acknowledge there was not the slightest foundation for my so doing, and the same would not have been made but for my being in a state of intoxication at the time, and I hereby offer you my humble and abject apology for having made use of the same, and promise not to again repeat the offence.
