MANOR of SHIRLEY, with its Members,In the COUNTY OF DERBY
NOTICE is hereby Given, that the next Court Leet and Great Court Baron of the Right Honourable Washington Earl Ferrers, Lord of the said Manor, will be holden at the house of Robert Goodall, called the Saracen's Head, at Shirley, within the said Manor, on Thursday, the 27th day of October, 1836, at eleven o'clock in the forenoon; when and where all the Tenants of the said Manor, and the Freeholders and Inhabitants within the same and all persons whomsoever who owe Suit and Service to the said Courts, or either of them, are personally to be and appear then and there to pay their Rents, and to do and perform their several Suits and Services according to the Custom of the said Manor.—Dated 30th September, 1836

I the the undersigned being a Tithe owner within the Parish of Shirley, in the county of Derby, whose interest is not less than one fourth part of the whole value of the the Tithes of the said Parish, Do by this Notice in writing under my hand, call a Parochial Meeting of Landowners and Titheowners within the limits of the said parish, for the purpose of making an agreement for the general commutation of Tithes within the limits of the said parish, pursuant to the provisions of an Act passed in the 6th and 7th years of the reign of his present Majesty, intituled — "An Act for the Commutation of Tithes in England and Wales" And was I do hereby give Notice, that such Meeting will be held at the the Saracen's Head Inn, in the said parish, on the 1st day of November, at the hour of two o'clock in the afternoon. Given under my hand this 3rd day of October, 1836
