SHIRLEY. THE VICARAGE — The Rev. Claud B. L. Corfield has decided to sever his connection with Rotherham, and to accept the living of Shirley, which has lately become vacant through the death of the rev. gentleman's father, the Rev. F. Corfield, M.A., J.P., who was well known in Derbyshire. The living of Shirley is the gift of Earl Ferrers, and will be remembered as having been held by the esteemed Bishop Shirley, of Sodor and Man. The living, having within the last year been much increased, is a fairly good one, and is in one of the prettiest parts of Derbyshire. The Vicar of Shirley is also patron of Yeaveley, in the same diocese.
