Samuel Swindell - Shirley Mill
Moved to Shirley from Walton, Derbyshire, sometime after 1871. In 1881 the household consisted of Samuel and his wife Elizabeth. There was also their sons Ralph and Samuel plus their nephew Ariel Watkinson.Also present were the servants Ellen Hodgkinson and Joseph Sinfin.
In 1886 two silver watches and £1 19s. were stolen from the house by William Bull.
