Osmaston Estate
The manor house was designed by Henry Isaac Stevens for Francis Wright of the Butterley Iron Company and completed in 1849. The Wikipedia entry for Edward Milner says Joseph Paxton did the manor. The estate was acquired by the present owners, the Walker-Okeover family in 1884. The house was demolished in 1964.The estate is important because of the land and property they own in the village.
