Robert sells-up and leaves Shirley Hall.

Robert receives ten shillings annually in lieu of tithes.

The census shows the Steeple household, still in Shirley, consisted of Robert, Sarah and John Steeple. Hannah Goodall, Mary Hawkins and Joseph Yeomans were servants.

1845
Robert dies.

1852
John dies aged 45.

1856
Sarah dies aged 85.
