A farmer at Shirley Lodge. Born in Shirley. In 1894 he was nominated for election to Ashbourne Board of Guardians and Rural District Council. He sold up in 1903.
Two of his employees, John Casey and Jabez Yeomans, were fined a shilling each and costs for fishing in Shirley Brook out of season.
