Gilman, James (Person)

(18 July 1887 – 1 December 1953)

Son of Thomas Gilman, farmer and Anne Gilman (née Fearn) who married 27 Jan 1885. He had three siblings: Edith (b. 1895), Elizabeth (b. 1890) and George (b. 1893).

He married Elsie May Goodall at Shirley, 5 Feb 1912.

Education
Osmaston school 1893 – 1898 (approx). Achieved Level 3.
Shirley National School 4 Oct 1898 – 5 Jan 1903. Achieved Level 6.

From 1901 he was living on Derby Lane and was employed as a waggoner in 1911.
