Derby Mercury - 2 November 1831 (Document)

DERBY, WEDNESDAY, November 2

Vaccinium Myrtillus, or bilberry .— There is at this time in Shirley Park a very extensive second crop of fruit of this description, indeed the quantity is greater than has ever been known within the memory of the oldest persons resident in the neighbourhood. Our readers therefore must not be surprised should they shortly hear "Bilberries ripe"— "Shirley Park Bilberries."
